After successful first Orienteering on the island of Indonesia, Team India is now off to SINGAPORE for the World Ranking event marking their 2nd International Representation.

NthAdventure Orienteering Club (NOC) is proud to send their Orienteers as Indian Representative to the 2nd International orienteering event and the first time World Ranking Event.

NthAdventure is the only company in India who has License to host Adventure Racing events from the Adventure Racing World Series – USA. The main goal of NthAdventure is to expand and strengthen the Adventure Racing and Orienteering landscape in India. To assist Indian teams in being competitive on a worldwide scale, the race directors have participated in numerous expedition races and have led webinars, workshops, training sessions, and multiple sprint events since 2016. For many Indians, orienteering is a relatively new activity or a sport. On the other hand, people who are from the NCC or Defense background know that map reading is a significantly important skill. IARF is supporting their initiatives.

‘Orienteering’ is a sport that involves using a map and compass to navigate swiftly and accurately between Control points in a variety of, frequently uncharted territory. A topographical map—typically an orienteering map—is provided to participants, who use it to locate control points. India is only now beginning to develop Top orienteers in a sport that has been around for over a century. Orienteering is the ideal sport for any age group to bring out the best in both mental and physical attributes, according to many academics and sports scientists worldwide.

The event in Singapore, will have 2 events in 2 days. This weekend’s race will not just be a WRE but also the concluding race of the ASEAN O-league and part of the Asian Cup.

Organizers: Orienteering Association Singapore

Team India Contingent for SINGAPORE - WORLD RANKING event:
